Valid Wisconsin fishing license
A good attitude and an open mind!
🧥 Recommended Clothing*
Sweatshirt and jacket
Warm hat and socks
Pants
Comfortable shoes (preferably waterproof)
*Even if the day is warm, nights on the water get chilly—especially with the wind. Dress in layers to stay comfortable. I have rain gear if needed. In late fall we might encounter snow and cold temperatures, if you do not have cold weather gear let me know and I will provide you with some!
📍 Trip Details
Time: Typically 7 PM – 2 AM**
Meeting Location: Designated boat ramp (you’ll be notified in advance)
Weather Policy: If conditions are unsafe (heavy rain, whiteout snow, etc.), trips will be rescheduled. Your safety is always the priority.
Note: Start times adjust seasonally to align with sunset.
🐟 Fish Handling Policy
I encourage releasing all walleye, but if you choose to keep fish, we will keep the smaller eaters. There are consumption warnings on nearly every lake in the Northwoods, so keep that in mind when choosing how many fish to keep.
BOAT SIZE LIMITS! I have these personal limits set in place to mitigate any potential damage done to the lakes I fish. Replicas are exceptionally good looking these days, and I can refer clients to taxidermists who are known for their exceptional work.
Walleye - Release any over 20”
Pike - Release any over 30”
Whitefish - Release any over 15”
Musky - Release all
I’ll clean your catch at the ramp and provide:
Ice-filled cooler
Bags for fillets
🧃 Food & Drink
You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, I can also provide food/drinks if requested in advance!
No smoking/vaping or drinking alcohol is allowed on the boat for safety reasons—especially at night!
When conditions are right, expect to see brilliant sunsets and sunrises, a night sky illuminated with the Aurora Borealis, shooting stars, and the beautiful Milky Way!
